Cavallo
You’re invited to the first edition of Cavallo, an evening full of elegance and nobility, in the likeness of the horse, our night’s emblem. Wine tasting accompanied by exquisite vegan bites prepared by our super chefs: Vianney Godbout, Danny St-Pierre and Jean-Philippe Cyr. But wait, you’ll have to choose a winning chef and if you identify the winner, you’ll get the chance to win a gift certificate at his restaurant. In a velvety atmosphere, with DJ and live performances, we have chosen to hold the event in one of the most exclusive places in the city
Le Parloir – Private Cellars.
You’ll also be able to put your hands on unique
works of art by local artists.
All the profits of the evening will be donated to the Gahalad Refuge, whose mission is to help relocate horses of owners who can no longer bear their costs as well as neglected or abandoned horses. In addition to offering a network of foster homes, the Gahalad Refuge ensures the horses’ safety and well-being through inspections, education and informational activities. The Refuge also intervenes following complaints, proposing solutions to people in dispute, and denounces insoluble cases to competent authorities.

Art to Heart
Our mission
Our mission is simple: help as many animal welfare organizations as possible through different charitable activities.
Once a year we hold the Art to Heart event, and throughout the year we organize ‘’pop-up’’ events in collaboration with different gyms, schools and organisations. We also regularly hold contests, raffles and auctions and have limited edition Les Belles et les Bêtes merchandise available in our online store. Furthermore, we have created strategic associations with brands that share the same ethic and values as ours to sell their products on our website and divide the profits between our beneficiaries.
100% of the money from our activities is distributed to selected charities (see Beneficiaries section).
A dream…
In addition, our goal is one day to open a domestic, wildlife and farm sanctuary in Boucherville in collaboration with the Passion Compassion Veterinary Hospital. A haven for injured, disabled, abandoned animals and those nearing the end of life but also a school to educate groups of schoolchildren, First Nation communities, technicians in animal health and anyone with a passion for this field. A state-of-the-art building with a classroom, a treatment room, a nursery and a quarantine as well as spacious enclosures focused on comfort, naturalness and enrichment and activity modules. We will create a community program where sanctuary employees will be physically disabled people and people with autism or intellectual disabilities who will work under the supervision of veterinarians and technicians of the Passion Compassion Veterinary Hospital.
About us
Being an ambassador of different animal welfare organizations and always looking for new ideas to help them, Kim Bruneau wanted to find a way to raise more money to help different organizations all at the same time. She wanted to create an event. Her friend, Goran Hamsic, a very passionate and creative artist suggested an art exhibit, and from there the brainstorming began. How could they make an art exhibit fun & trendy while keeping it artsy & authentic?! Combining both and forming a committee of key players was the answer. It wasn’t too long that friends and family came on board to concoct the perfect event.

The first edition of the Art to Heart event raised a net amount of $36,000. Following this overwhelming success and other side activities, Kim realized that The Beauties and the Beasts was much more than an event, it was a movement… a movement bringing together animal lovers and organizations dedicated to saving and rehabilitating them… and that it had to grow by becoming a registered foundation and by putting together a strong committee of experts in their respective fields who would put all their heart in it.
And now, may the adventure go on…
